Marker’s team combines user centric designers, technologists and marketing & business strategies all driven by our desire to deliver measurable interactive, demand and brand programs across a broad range of mediums.

Senior Management team consists of Dane Mitchell - Creative Director, Jon Beattie - Managing Director and Sharleen McKinnon - Projects Director.

Dane Mitchell - Creative Director

Dane Mitchell established Flux in November 2000 having returned to New Zealand from London after 6 years developing a pretty impressive portfolio of work. Not surprisingly, in New Zealand Flux quickly established a reputation for leading edge user centred design producing work for Russell McVeagh, James Hardie, Baycorp Advantage and Gerard Roofs.

Over time Dane Mitchell has amassed an imposing array of work for some of the world's best known design agencies and clients.

Amongst his work at MetaDesign & IconMediaLab, London was the design of Ferrari.com, Sony Playstation Europe site and The Real F1 brand.

For Interbrand (Tokyo) Dane Mitchell was contracted to work on the brand strategy for Toyota and All Nippon Airways.

In his time with MetaDesign London, Dane Mitchell was involved with the creation and implementation of brand and design solutions for Skoda Auto, Bristol Legible City, Artranspennine98, Orange Communications, Bosch, Glasgow 1999, British Council, Gilbert and George, Tangerine, Design Council, Audi, Graphics International, Zoeftig, Westminster City Council and MetaDesign promotion.

Dane Mitchell has also been involved with the creation and implementation of branding solutions for Aer Lingus, Britannia 360, Royal & Sunalliance, Toyota, Pearson Media, Mets-paper, Royal & Sunalliance Challenge, Bridges Cargo, US Airlines, Borealis and British Aerospace.

With the merger of Flux and The Outfit, Dane Mitchell heads our Creative team.

Jon Beattie - Managing Director

Jon Beattie established The Outfit in late 2000 after leaving Hong Kong based start up Asia Online. In 2006 The Outfit was merged with Flux Design to form Marker.

Jon is currently Managing Director and co-founder of Marker. For over 10 years, Jon has worked with a range of companies from multi-nationals that include Sony Computer Entertainment, BMW, MINI, and Pepsico to software and Internet start ups.

Jon's ability to span business strategy, technology and interactive marketing provides a unique perspective to projects. More recently Jon has led the establishment of Marker's software export business in the UK market and consulted to companies on how to apply Web 2.0 and social media to their organisation.
